Since C.I.C Screens introduced aluminium chain link fly screens into the UK in 1985 the use of fly screens made of anodised aluminium chain has become widely accepted. One of the chief virtues of our aluminium chain screens is the non-chemical pest control of most flying insects and birds. They provide a really effective barrier to all but the most minute of flying insects. C.I.C. SCREENS are effective because they present a physical barrier that is closely strung, heavy enough not to billow in an air current and with a shimmer - all of which presents an almost total discouragement to flying pests. In kitchens, their use permits the free flow of air so that a fly free kitchen does not have to mean an uncomfortably hot working atmosphere. There is no need to spray harmful chemicals, or hear the sound of frying insects. Our Ready Made screens are cheaper than Custom Made screens, but are only available in 30" x 78" (76cm x 198cm) and 36" x 78" (91cm x 198cm). If we are making a screen to your specific order - i.e. it is Custom Made - then although very many are plain silver, in fact it costs no more to have some stripes put into the screen to your own design. |

Putting some colour into what would otherwise be a plain chain screen has the advantage of making for a decorative, more pleasant working environment. |
